Sometimes a holy hush is just what we need at the end of a week of bustle, to put us in a Sabbath state of mind.
But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth hush and be silent before Him. -Habakkuk 2:20
A holy hush came upon us during our recent Summer Concert, listening to Seth Jernigan and his bandmate Dean as they sang the Psalms (and other wonderful songs, including our favorite, “Like A Child”) under an August moon. And the glory of the Lord shined down upon the 160 or so people who braved the heat!
That Saturday evening was followed by Lord’s Day worship together with Seth who hails from Pittsburgh, and Dean, who calls San Diego home. They graced the Homestead Music Room with an intimate session on Sunday night, and then filmed and recorded five epic songs on the Veranda (with Eddie producing lol) for a “Live From The Homestead” collection to be released this Fall. What a blessing to our souls!
And Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. -Mark 4:39
May this be the first of many concerts hosted here, all redounding to the glory of One worthy of our praise!
Make sharing easy!
