On The Passing of Batons

Every family marks those moments when there is a “changing of the guard” — when a baton of responsibility passes from one child to the next, or from one to another.

Lead to replace yourself.

Today, without being asked, Edison took over the mowing of Magnalia lawns from his older brother. The lines are not what they used to be, and the “mohawk” styling will have to go.

But it’s a big moment nonetheless.

So, we’ll mark it and celebrate it. : )
