After another special community dinner last week, celebrating the work of Mount Jubilee Ministries with guests from nearby and from as far away as Texas who enjoyed with us fellowship by the fire and a winter goulash feast prepared by chef Josh White and sous chef Edison, we were reminded that “setting a table” is a beautiful metaphor for doing anything that creates community.
And no table is set without a team.
Cicero famously said that “gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.” He was right.
And gratitude, like all good things, must have its artifacts!
So, we determined to create an ever-evolving web page that shows the mosaic of gifted people (and creatures, great and small) who are helping to create Magnalia, along with a description of the roles they play here. It was a wonder to consider this:
“for the body does not consist of one member but of many….as it is, there are many parts, yet one body.” (I Cor 12)
More pictures will be added soon, if Mr. Beaver has his way! But we think this ‘TEAM’ page is guaranteed to bring a smile to your heart. See for yourself. And check out some of the stories that the folks pictured are bringing to life on our new Journal page as well.
Thank you, including so many not pictured (yet), for your gifts of encouragement along the way. We pray the Lord will make much eternal good of our work together….
I am honored that God has brought our paths together and excited to be getting to know you, your family and all the ways you serve our Lord. Jeff and I look forward to days ahead and what God has in store. Blessings, Debbie Gibbons
