What an honor and responsibility to be an American Son, an American Daughter. Thanks to all the Patriots who volunteered and joined us last night at the Homestead to mark this epic and historic milestone.
John Adams envisioned Independence Day celebrations in a way that has inspired us here at The Homestead:
I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.
We think Adams would have been pleased by what happened here, on every single count.
May God continue to bless our people, and through us bless the world…as a model of ordered liberty. Let’s hold the line together!
