NY Times ARTICLE Features Magnalia's Walden Cabin

What a crazy run of days at the Homestead: tending to eight newborn lambs, and a boxer pup named Jeb (who has a thing for chickens 🙁).

We have also welcomed a newborn calf named “Hannah Vanderbilt,” thus named because our Tiny House resident here Hannah Beasley has fetched her when she’s gotten out of pasture and because she was sired by a bull from George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Estate, thanks to Rodney Hardy.

P.S. That calf is now named “Hans Vanderbilt” after we came to realize the she is a he, actually, not a she. We are farm rookies.
