Harvest Fest at Magnalia

Come celebrate the goodness of God in the glories of Autumn — and the marking of the traditional festivals of the season — including the harvests of Fall, Reformation Day, and All Souls Day. We’ll have activities for young and old alike:

  • • hayrides with a cup of apple cider
  • • animal exhibits, including feeding opportunities with sheep, goats, turkeys, chickens, miniature horses, cows and a donkey
  • • game field for a soccer shoot-out, sack races, wheelbarrow races, tug-of-war and other fun
  • • pumpkin patch for the kids
  • • guided pony rides (free for children ages 3-11)
  • • community garden and bee hive tours
  • • bounce house castle
  • • blacksmithing demonstrations
  • • seasonal stew at Walden Cabin
  • • hatchet toss competition
  • • farmer-themed photo booth for cell phone pictures
  • • magic shows in The Pig’s Loft
  • • riding mechanical bull
  • • pistol shoot ($5 donation per participant: pistol/bullets provided)
  • • face painting
  • • cow milking demonstration
  • • Reformation history presentations
  • • big screen stage presentation
  • • floating lanterns
  • • hymn sing at the bonfire
  • • s’mores at the fire pits ($1 for s’more packets]

Food and beverage options will include a complimentary seasonal soup at Walden Cabin and cider at The Crown & Pepper Garden Shoppe.

You can also purchase great food from The Food Truck, and a sweet treat from the Autumn Dessert Tent.

Suggested donations for tickets are $5/person, $10/couple or $15/family to help offset some of the third party costs for the event. If this creates any pause for you, however, we have created a FREE option. We do not want the cost to deter anyone from coming, and a family has agreed to pay the cost of tickets for any who cannot afford it!

All proceeds from ticket, food and beverage purchases will benefit Magnalia Homestead Foundation’s ministry activities with the special needs community, veterans,, and assorted guests from near and far who come weekly seeking a time of rest, reflection, soul care or fellowship.

Tickets are being limited to 250 this year, and they will go fast! So please RSVP soon to help us plan for you and yours. : )

We’re excited to host you, and to celebrate together the Magnalia Dei: the glory of God revealed in the things that He has made!
