DESCRIPTION:A Multi-Course Dinner Discourse About Culture, History, Political Economy, Philosophy and the Theology Behind It All!\n—\nThe Junto Table is an eclectic gathering of young and old alike who meet to enjoy thoughtful conversation about the big issues of the day as they meal together, and seek to find opportunities to cooperate to forge better families and communities, as well as a better nation and a better world.\nThe word “junto” means “together” or “near to” or “along with.” Using the name and general Rules of Order practiced by Ben Franklin’s Junto Society in the late 1700’s, and modeling the spirit of The Clapham Circles formed by William Wilberforce in England in the same time period, these gatherings have been hosted at the Homestead since 2000.\nEach convening of The Junto Table features a moderated discussion related to propositions brought to the Table by Society members — relating to the subjects of philosophy, history, culture, political economy and theology, and connected as appropriate to specific calls to action that foster a more flourishing society.\n \nRSVP\n\n \n \n
